Senior Analyst, Data Stewardship, Brampton, ON

The Data Elevation team at Loblaw is hiring a Sr. Analyst, Data Stewardship with experience in working with big data. In this role, you will champion the implementation and support of a data stewardship framework, tools and developing new processes to lead data stewards and enterprise data. Your proven foundation in Data Governance and ability to influence and liaise at all levels will be applied to support critical initiatives and programs as well as to mature our data management posture.

What You’ll Do:

  • Support the roll-out of Data Stewardship across key functional areas of the business and ensure clear accountability, strong process controls and appropriate documentation of the company’s principal information assets
  • Take Data Governance requirements from Loblaw Technology & Analytics and Business areas and collaborate with technology to implement new features within our Data Governance tool-stack
  • Resolve issues brought up from Business and Functional areas data governance representatives providing advisory services to partners where necessary
  • Ensure compliance with data management related policies, standards, roles and responsibilities, and adoption requirements
  • Deliver training and education as needed to business partners on data management standard methodologies

What you Bring:

  • Knowledge of data governance practices, business and technology issues related to management of enterprise information assets and approaches related to data protection
  • Familiarity with data related government regulatory requirements and emerging trends and issues
  • Demonstrated consulting skills, with organizational change concepts and strategies, including communication, culture change and performance measurement system design
  • Knowledge of risk data architecture and technology solutions
  • Internally and externally recognized domain authority that influences the way things are done
  • Has passion for innovation and a growth mindset
