The Senior Analysts in the Technology Platforms Integration, Compliance & Operations Group within Technology Infrastructure will play a critical role in the facilitation and governance of guiding Application Custodians with their Technology Platform Compliance (EOL, TSS, etc) by ensuring accurate reporting and efficient communications. As a Senior Analyst your role is critical in decreasing cyber and financial risk to RBC.


What Will You Do?

  • As a Senior Analyst, you will primarily perform compliance team operations work including assessing tech currency, technical security standards, and patching status with our stakeholders: application teams, technology owners and resolving any issues that arise.

  • Champion a customer focused culture to deepen stakeholder relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems and knowledge to support the modernization and enablement of our projects, programs and services related to our Technology Operations Portal (Tech Ops).

  • Liaise between groups and departments and send communications for improving technology compliance through completing business reporting, analysis and project management duties including work with Technology Platform Owners and Application Teams across the bank to understand their pipeline, requirements, and processes to develop automation within our Tech Ops Portal.

  • Provide input into development of technical solutions to track & monitor enablement activities including, API review/processing, application availability / latency statistics & help design improved reporting process.

  • Analyze user needs to determine technical requirements, collaborate and include inputs from cross-functional teams

  • Perform scripted daily & ad hoc system health checks. Coordinate / work with Compliance development team to communicate any potential technical issues to be solved before affecting the Tech Ops Portal. Review and perform quality control for all Technology Platform submissions.

  • Create processes, and workflows for the enablement of our one stop reporting goal. Maintain records for the documentation of Tech Ops Portal development and revisions.

  • Support the ongoing operations development for the Tech Ops Portal, dashboards and portals by actively taking part in solutioning, testing, and enablement of collaboration across our group.

  • Maintain and curate content in centralized Connectsite, Confluence / Sharepoint, Tableau sites for the team. Update them with new information and resources that will assist application teams and their risk management groups in planning their migrations, upgrades and decommissions. Participate and present in compliance, risk and technology meetings.

  • Champion a high-performance environment and contribute to an inclusive work environment.

What Do You Need To Succeed?

Must Have

  • Bachelor’s degree or Community College Diploma in related field

  • 3-5 years experience in Information Technology, Infrastructure, Risk Management, Software Development, Project Management, and/or Business/Finance.

  • Hands-on experience and exposure to technology compliance & risk management activities, principles and knowledge

  • Inquisitive mindset, strong problem-solving skills, and drive to learn

  • Superior collaboration & communication skills

  • Experience working in a professional, deadline driven environment an asset

  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel; experience with advanced formulas, data analysis, and macros an asset
