We are currently seeking a Benefits and Pension Sr Analyst to join our delivery team. The ideal candidate will have significant experience in the area of health and welfare benefits and wealth accumulation administration; along with a strong working knowledge of workforce management, absence, and payroll. They will also have the ability to interact with employees and to use critical thinking skills to resolve complex problems.

What you will be doing:

  • Responsible for execution and monitoring of benefits processes for plan administration within Oracle HCM and other vendor platforms
  • Perform administrative functions for the delivery of benefits and wealth accumulation programs as required
  • Follow standard operating procedures and best practices to perform daily tasks
  • Generate ad hoc reports by running and or writing queries and analyze for accuracy
  • Investigate and resolve escalated employee issues and communicate resolutions accordingly
  • Work with internal team members and external vendors on day-to-day plan administration and projects where required
  • Responsible for peer review audits of manual work and providing necessary feedback
  • Responsible for quality assurance activities regarding data, integrations, and event processing
  • Work with third-party providers to ensure seamless process delivery of programs
  • Responsible for the documentation of requirements & creation/update of standard operating procedures
  • Investigates service delivery issues & system defects, and formulates resolutions/recommendations for process improvements
  • Responsible for acceptance testing per release schedule and/or as change requests are made
  • Participate in Annual and Ad-hoc initiatives to support ongoing program administration
  • Adhere to internal and external audit requirements


What you bring:

  • Broad range of Benefits and Wealth Accumulation administration experience
  • Experience working with Oracle HCM or similar HRIS/Benefits Administration/Payroll Technology platforms
  • Experience working with a variety of Traditional and Flexible Benefit programs, fully insured and ASO
  • Experience working with Defined Benefit and Defined Contribution Pension plans
  • Experience working on large scale projects with responsibility of requirement building, testing, and process creation
  • Experience participating in year end activities such as; Annual Re-enrollment, Over Age Verification, Rate Updates, and Renewal Data Analysis
  • Ability to communicate and collaborate with internal team members and external stakeholders effectively
  • Ability to resolve escalated employee issues and provide resolution in a timely manner
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate professionally, clearly and effectively with employees, business partners, and vendors
  • Experience working in a case management system is preferred
  • A team player who can also work independently
  • Highly organized with the ability to multi-task while working on various priorities
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Comfortable with change and able to manage tight timelines in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Ability to analyze and compare data using multiple sources/reports within Excel
  • 5+ years of Benefits and Wealth Accumulation administration experience in a high-volume benefits/payroll operation
  • Bachelors Degree in Business Administration, Human Resources and/or related discipline
  • Certified Employee Benefits Specialist (CEBS) and/or Retirement Plan Associate (RPA) certifications an asset
