Wealth Investment Office (WIO) is committed to providing institutional-grade investment strategy, portfolio management and goals-based models and portfolios for private clients. We set the standard for investment strategy and portfolio management ensuring portfolios are process driven, goal based, positively risk adjusted, scalable, efficient, and compliant across TD Bank Group’s Wealth Management division — including Financial Planning, Private Investment Advice, Private Investment Counsel and Family Office. Reporting to the Senior Manager, Investment Analytics and Strategic Insights, the Senior Analyst will be responsible for providing a broad range of analytical and process support for centralized portfolio performance, attribution, and risk factor reporting. The incumbent will be part of a team that is committed to leading the design, implementation, and management of analytic solutions to deliver robust and actionable investment book insights and portfolio management trends across all asset classes, including advised and managed models. The Senior Analyst will be primarily responsible for supporting the production and enhancement of dashboards, regular and ad-hoc reports, analysis, and insights to drive data-driven decision making within TD Wealth Financial Planning, Private Investment Advice, Private Investment Counsel and UHNW Family Office.

Job Description
  • Use analytic tools to develop repeatable and reliable workflows for extracting, compiling, and summarizing wealth portfolio investment data including asset allocation, risk diversification and performance attribution
  • Develop a thorough understanding of the data warehouse and systems landscape at TD Wealth and support the automation and maintenance of internal reporting processes
  • Actively participate in various workstreams with internal partners to understand business objectives, required KPIs and translate them into data collection and data analysis strategies
  • Demonstrate strong initiative, and use strong communication, analytical and problem-solving skills to add value to each initiative, project, or team you are assigned to
  • Create and maintain procedure documents for internal reports and dashboards

Job Requirements

  • Undergraduate Degree in Finance, Economics, Computer Science, Statistics, Data Analytics, or a related field
  • 2+ years related experience in the financial services industry
  • Strong analytics skills & interest in/knowledge of the wealth management business
  • Enrolment in the CFA program
  • Proficient in Excel and SQL programming
  • Experience with VBA, Python, or other programming languages is a plus
  • Experience with Alteryx is a plus
  • Experience with Tableau and/or other visualization software is a plus
  • Excellent verbal & written communication, with ability to work collaboratively and effectively in a team environment.
