Job Description

Responsibilities :

· Elicit requirements using interviews, document analysis, requirements workshops, business process descriptions, use cases, scenarios, business analysis, task and workflow analysis;

· Critically evaluate information gathered from multiple sources, reconcile conflicts, decompose high-level information into details, abstract up from low-level information to a general understanding, and distinguish user requests from the underlying true needs;

· Proactively communicate and collaborate with external and internal customers to analyze information needs and functional requirements and deliver the following artifacts as needed: (Functional requirements, Business Requirements Document),

· Successfully engage in multiple initiatives simultaneously (if required);

· Work independently with users to define concepts and under direction of project manager(s);

· Drive and challenge business units or Managed Services Providers on their assumptions of how they will successfully execute their plans;

· Work with Quality Assurance (QA) team to define the QA Strategy, QA Scenarions, QA Plan, QA Test Scripts, and support SIT and UAT;

· Collaborate with service owners and subject matter experts to establish the technical vision and analyze trade-offs between usability and performance needs;

· Responsible for managing and executing on required stakeholder and business client engagement across project deliverables to support project plan and scope outline;

· Responsible for collaborating with project team members to progress the project forward as per project plan and scope outline, including Cutover planning and activities.

Qualifications :
· Must be legally entitled to work in Canada
· Formal Business Analyst training
· Knowledge and experience with business analyst best practices including demonstrated practical experience in applying them
· Proven experience with use case and ‘day in the life’ scenario development
· Strong analytical and product management skills required, including a thorough understanding of how to interpret customer business needs and translate them into application and operational requirements;
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group: managers, subject matter experts, IT Managed Services Providers;
· Attention to detail, accuracy and quality to develop requirements specifications and documentation according to standard templates, using natural language;
· Application Implementation experience;
· Strong analytical and product management skills, including a thorough understanding of how to interpret customer business needs and translate them into application and operational requirements
· Can hit the ground running, be a self-starter and self-sufficient, work comfortably with end-user business colleagues, have strong communication skills, execute on the plans, analyze and trouble-shoot issues with design and testing, facilitate detailed cutover execution, provide support post go-live

Additional Knowledge/Skill Requirements :

· Experience working on SAP Finance and Supply Chain projects;

· Experience working on OpenInvoice projects;

· Experience analyzing and troubleshooting financial data and reports – ability to trace the flow of financial data to determine root cause of issues and work with the technical teams to resolve the issue;

· Ability to develop business processes for finance and supply chain functions;

· Working experience in Work Order, Work planning and scheduling; and

· Maximo knowledge.

Experience in a Business Analyst role (or similar): 10 years (Required)

Education/Certifications

Post-secondary degree or diploma in Business and/or Computer Science (Required)

Background in Finance and Accounting (Required)
CPA Designation (Desired)
