HERE'S HOW YOU'LL CONTRIBUTE:
  • Act as a key stakeholder and team member that plays a critical role in delivering successful projects;
  • Create clear and comprehensive feature lists/product backlogs, comprised of functional and non-functional requirements;
  • Collaborate with the Product Owner and Scrum Master to prioritize scope and create release plans for the year;
  • Prepare high quality requirements deliverables (i.e. User Stories, Sprint Planner, Data Mapping/Elements, UI Mock-ups/Wireframes, Process Flow Diagrams, etc.);
  • Lead and facilitate the review of the features/User Stories, and estimate associated BA work effort;
  • Participate in the distribution of features/User Stories into iterations/sprints;
  • Control changes to scope/requirements by assessing business value and priority;
  • Facilitate informative visual demonstrations of the delivered business value to project stakeholders at the end of each iteration/sprint
  • Create clear, unambiguous and testable acceptance criteria for each requirement;
  • Engage business partners to participate in User Acceptance Testing and acquire UAT/sprint sign-offs;
  • Create comprehensive training plans, materials and communications prior to Production deployments;
  • Train end users and/or support personnel;
  • Participate in various scrum ceremonies (i.e. Sprint Planning, Backlog Reviews, Stand-ups, Sprint Reviews, Sprint Retrospectives, etc.)
HERE'S WHAT YOU'LL BRING:
  • Relevant post-secondary education
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in the business analysis discipline
  • Real estate, insurance and/or financial industry knowledge
  • In-depth understanding and experience with agile software methodologies, such as Scrum, Kanban, etc.
  • Proficiency in MS Office suite (Word, Excel, Visio, PowerPoint)
  • Familiarity with interface design and wireframe tools, such as Axure, Figma, etc.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with both business and IT stakeholders, as well as onshore/offshore teams
  • Stellar customer services skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Proven ability to support multiple projects/streams simultaneously
  • Demonstrated experience leading a team of Business Analysts on a large project, managing the team’s workload distribution, providing feedback on deliverables and ensuring BA timelines are met
