We are looking for a Sr. Oracle Database Developer, specializing in Lending and Leasing clients. This role is based in our Markham, Ontario offices conveniently located near Highways 404 and 407. We are focused on team participation and commit to working a minimum of three days a week in the office and an option of two days a week from home.

Who We Need:


The Sr. Oracle Database Developer will manage multiple responsibilities, including configurations, customizations, and enhancements to the OFSLL product as you work with our talented team of Developers and Functional Analysts to implement the OFSLL product for our clients.


What You’ll Do:


  • Participate in all stages of the OFSLL implementation project and development life-cycle including, but not limited to, requirements gathering and development, configuration, system functional specifications and design, development, testing, implementation, data conversion, and post-implementation support.
  • Serve as best practice/quality resource within the discipline and/or as a technical expert on functional or cross-functional teams or projects
  • Participate in project planning sessions with clients, business analysts, and team members to analyze business requirements.
  • Develop an understanding of the client’s business and technology requirements.
  • Identify and document key integration points with internal and external systems as well as required customizations.
  • Document technical design components related to solution integration and customizations.
  • Act as a liaison between the client/project team and the off-shore development team.
  • Communicate effectively to all stakeholders.
  • Accurately track time by hours and project billing codes in Company project tracking software.
  • Participates in other Company initiatives and duties as required.

What You’ll Need:


  • At least a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, MIS, Accounting, Finance, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 6+ years of experience as a consultant and/or programmer analyst with background/experience in and understanding of lending and leasing operations.
  • In addition to knowledge of the OFSLL product, to perform this job successfully an individual must have a strong understanding of and experience with the following technologies - SQL, PL/SQL, and Oracle Databases Java/J2EE Framework, BI Publisher, and Oracle ADF
  • Desire to be a contributor, a problem solver, and an integral part of our success
  • US Banking/Finance domain expertise is preferred
