Job Senior Vice President Business Analysis in Mississauga
The IT Business Lead Analyst is a senior-level position responsible for liaising between business users and technologists to exchange information in a concise, logical and understandable way in coordination with the Technology team. The overall objective of this role is to contribute to continuous iterative exploration and investigation of business performance and other measures to gain insight and drive business planning.
Responsibilities:
Manage Product analysis for a global Front office Trade booking and risk management systems in Fixed Income and Derivative Products
Consult with business end users to ensure appropriate integration of functions to meet goals and define necessary system enhancements
- Identify and communicate risks and propose risk mitigation options, considering business implications of the application of technology to the current business environment
- Assist system change processes through implementation by providing technical knowledge to ensure efficiency
- Work with various internal and business teams to achieve business goals and negotiate with external parties as needed
- Provide evaluative judgments based on analysis of information in complicated and unique situations
Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and Safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets,
by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating,
Managing and reporting control issues with transparency, as well as effectively supervise the activity of others and create accountability with those who fail to maintain these standards.
Qualifications:
6-10 years of experience in business analysis in an international investment bank and/or major financial services firm.
Working knowledge of various types of Foreign Exchange, Fixed Income & Derivatives products
Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Visio, PowerPoint) with extensive experience using Excel for data analysis
Good knowledge of full trade lifecycle viz., deal capture, downstream flows, PL & Risk management, accounting, settlements etc.
Be able to understand system interfaces and experience in understanding different messaging formats
Knowledge about GL and Regulatory reporting requirements is an add on
Education:
Strong academic record, ideally with a Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Information Science, engineering or related technical discipline.

Role / Position Overview:
The role is joining the global team part of Markets Securities and Services organization. This role is based in Mississauga, Canada. You are expected to demonstrate a combination of business aptitude, quantitative skills, and strong written and oral communications skills. You will be leading medium-large scale projects and are expected to work effectively as an individual and as part of a team. What will you be doing?
Lead the analysis and requirements gathering for fixed income product flows – bonds, derivatives and exotics
Work with traders, Sales, business unit managers and heads of businesses to understand business practices and provide solutions enabling business growth and growing operational efficiencies
Lead deliveries end to end from requirements, design, construction, testing and implementation; provide user and operational support on application to business users.
Establish and maintain periodic communication to business and technology partners
Take lead in planning the best practice solutions, tracking, execution and overall project management of the roll out of cross asset and multi functional initiatives
Foster & maintain positive relationship with internal and external clients
Provide advice and counsel related to technology or operations of the business, ensure essential procedures are followed and contribute to defining standards
Filter, prioritize and validate potentially complex material from multiple sources and perform other duties and functions as assigned

What we are looking for:
Broad knowledge of Capital markets; Fixed income securities such as Treasuries, Swaps, Corporate bonds, Mortgage Backed Securities, Rates and Credit Derivatives
Experience with trade front to back processes and life-cycle events
Experience in regulatory reporting jurisdictions and requirements
Expertise in trade message schema from ECN/Clearing Houses/Markit (eg fpml, swml) would be highly desirable
Strong working knowledge of databases / SQL and ability to correlate the relational data to application functionality
Proficient at delivering business requirements in BDD form and enabling test driven development
Experienced in all aspects Agile M
Ability to build, train and lead a team of Business Analysts wherever such an opportunity evolvesethodology (Scrum, Kanban) and usage of Atlassian JIRA
