As Manager, Software Development, you will be instrumental in leading a small team of highly talented group of individuals that keep Harry Rosen Inc, on the leading edge of technology and state of the art applications within the retail industry.

Technical Leadership
  • Collaborate with different stakeholders (e.g., Product Owner, Business Analyst, Architects, Testers, etc.) to deliver high quality and performant custom software solutions.
  • Analyze, Design, Estimate, Plan and Prepare features to enhance new and the existing portfolio of applications
  • Contribute to the IT roadmap initiatives via project & sprint planning and backlog grooming.
  • Provide technical guidance to the development team.
  • Ensure adherence to Software Development Life Cycle (SLDC)
  • Maintain consistent and clear project communication.
Development Support Management
  • Manage Error Logging and Incident reporting.
  • Assess, Plan and Prepare Units of Work from root cause analyses.
  • Provide technical guidance in development support.
  • Ensure adherence-level agreement (SLA)
Coding Standards and Development Patterns
  • Review code and ensure adherence to standards.
  • Ensure code quality and coverage.
  • Ensure best practices are followed for code security
Digital Technology Management
  • Review latest technology trends and adoption.
  • Identify areas for DEVOps Automation
  • Manage Technical Documentation
  • Manage Code Repository
Team Leadership & Development
  • Team Training & Competency

Required Skills & Expertise
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills
  • Expert level of experience in Oracle PL/SQL for both schema design and data retrieval for applications and troubleshooting
  • Experience with Oracle OCI
  • Expert level of experience with .net core C#
  • Experience with C#.net classic
  • Experience with Node.js
  • Experience with Node.js react framework
  • Experience with Kafka integrated applications
  • Experience mentoring developers and providing guidance in estimation, technical spikes and improving code quality.
  • Experience in designing, developing, integrating, and deploying APIs in production.
  • Experience in crafting and maintaining postman/insomnia libraries
  • Experience with load balancing and web application firewalls
