Job Staff Data Scientist in Edmonton

This position is a part of the Association of the Academic Staff of the University of Alberta (AASUA).

Salary will be commensurate with experience in accordance with the Academic Teaching Staff (ATS) agreement.

Position

The Department of Computing Science invites applications for a full-time lecturer.

Currently, the list of courses that lecturers may be required to teach includes:

• CMPUT 191 - Introduction to Data Science
• CMPUT 195 - Introduction to Principles and Techniques of Data Science
• CMPUT 200 - Ethics in Data Science and Artificial Intelligence
• CMPUT 291 - Introduction to File and Database Management
• CMPUT 361 - Introduction to Information Retrieval
• CMPUT 391 - Database Management Systems
• INT D 491 - Data Science Capstone

Other courses and related duties may be considered as conditions change, and depending on the qualifications of the candidate.

These appointments require either an M.Sc. or a Ph.D. degree in a relevant discipline and preference will be given to candidates with successful teaching experience.

Term length will depend on the qualifications of the candidate.
