What you'll do:

    • Owner of and expert on large sections of our codebase
    • Sought out for technical guidance; anticipates technical issues at the product level and makes architectural and design decisions to avoid them
    • High-degree of understanding of OWASP, PCI/DSS, GDPR/CCPA and ability to code review in accordance with teams SSDLC (as needed).
    • A record of creating sweeping improvements in stability, performance, and scalability across major business-critical systems
    • SDLC processes are followed, including adopting agile-based processes/meetings, peer code-reviews, and technical preparations required for scheduled releases.
    • Partners with product and analytics and drive requirements that take into account all parties' needs
    • History of launching products in a well prepared fashion with minimal issues.
    • Owns the technical testing and performance plan for their project
    • Trains new Software Engineers and Senior Software Engineers
    • Provide mentorship and set technical standards to improve engineering quality.May have role in supervising others or leading large projects
    • Recognized as a prolific contributor to core and side projects
    • Consistently able to reduce the complexity of projects, services, and processes in order to get more done with less work
    • Shapes broad architecture; ships multiple large services, complex libraries or major pieces of infrastructure
    • Has made an obvious positive impact on the entire company's technical trajectory
    • Expanded Code review responsibilities: OWASP, PCI/DSS, GDPR/CCPA
    • Ability to give presentations / speak on behalf of project teams
    • Interact directly with customers when needed
    • Raises roadblocks and updates estimations as needed
    • Gives constructive feedback to team members
    • Expert in all industry jargon and business concepts

What we're looking for:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Engineering (or have equivalent years’ experience)
    • 10+ years of software development experience, preferably with Lead position experience.
    • Minimum of 2 years’ professional experience in Java development. Experience working in OS X and Linux environments, Spring, AWS, Microservices, SQL, NoSQL, GIT. Experience working in a scrum and DevOps environment. Good understanding of agile application development lifecycle.
    • Experience Designing and building JSON or REST services, experience working with 3rd party APIs, AWS APIs, Docker or other containers, large-scale or distributed web applications, Test Driven Development and functional testing.
    • Familiarity with the full stack of web development and proven history of web application development
    • Understanding of secure application programming practices or vulnerabilities
    • Strong understanding and practical experience with common design patterns
    • Ability to solve business problems through creative and forward-looking solutions
    • Ability to write clear, concise documentation

How We Hire
