YOUR NEXT CHALLENGE:


We will be hiring one (1) candidate within the Community Relations department at our Rankin Inlet Office. Agnico Eagle's Summer Employment Program is designed to provide opportunities for Inuit to gain meaningful work experience or training within the mining industry. It is an integral part of our goal to foster continuous learning, and to encourage youth and adults to pursue careers in the mining industry. The are designed to provide Inuit with a chance to see what a career in mining can offer, and to experience one of the many types of jobs that exist with Agnico Eagle, to help them decide whether to pursue a career with us or perhaps further education in a particular field.

The Community Relations Summer Opportunity will be available between May and September.

TASK:

  • Support Community Relations projects (Donation, Decoration contest, Family Day, Mining Awareness, Inuit Employee Survey).
  • Replace Community Liaison Officer during her vacations (answer the phone, welcome visitors).
  • Various administrative tasks (Data cleaning in Excel, Data entry, preparing documents).
  • Support Inuit Employment Team (contact candidates, Pre-employment Training organizations, participate in Employment Information Session).

WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED
  • All Inuit can apply, but priority will be given to Inuit students enrolled in high school or any post-secondary school. Recent graduates of high school (previous semester) or post-secondary school (previous semester) may also apply. Summer employment opportunities are available to Inuit who are 16 years old or older.
  • Position is reserved for Inuit Beneficiary candidate

Work schedule

  • 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday;
  • Position is based at Agnico Eagle Rankin Inlet Office.
