Job Teaching Assistant in Dundas

Role: Online Teaching Assistant

Hours: Weekdays, Full-Time

Location: Dundas, ON - In Office

Salary: $42,000/year


Worksite Safety is looking for an enthusiastic, self-motivated and highly organized individual to support the operation of our online classes. If you have a customer service or tech support background and love helping students have a great online learning experience, this could be the role for you!


As an integral part of the customer-facing team this role provides supports to our instructors who deliver our training programs through distance learning (Zoom) and our students who are taking these classes. The Online Teaching Assistant sees that courses run smoothly by interacting with students prior to their class, throughout the class and following up after training.


Based out of the Dundas, ON head office, this role works Monday to Friday, 8am-4pm.


As an Online Teaching Assistant you could expect to:

  • Moderate distance learning training sessions for both the instructor and the students
  • Interact with people online, by chat, phone or email to resolve questions or issues throughout the class
  • Assist the instructor in seeing that all students are registered and participating in the course
  • Provide technical support to students and instructors as needed
  • Follow up with students after training to gather feedback about their experience
  • Identify opportunities for advisors to support students with safety in their workplace
  • Work with the fulfillment, operations and client services team as needed
  • Identify areas to improve customer experience based on customer feedback and your own observations

About You


You’ll be a perfect fit for this energetic team if:

  • You love keeping people organized and groups functioning effectively
  • You think outside the box when it comes to solutions that are surprisingly helpful to ensure our clients have a great experience
  • You can navigate internet tools and apps at lightning speed, but you are genuinely patient and understand that not everyone has the great technical skills that you have.

You’ll need to bring:

  • Experience in a relationship-centric communications-based role such as customer service or technical support
  • Experience in a learning environment as a teacher, assistant or moderator (preferred)
  • Experience with a CRM and/or client support system (Zendesk preferred)
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Able to legally work in Canada
