The Website UI Designer will design web experiences for Wiser’s B2B and B2C websites to accomplish goals set by the marketing team. This new role will report to the Senior Manager, Web Strategy and Design and will be responsible for designing all website experiences and maintaining Wiser branding across the digital space.

Design Responsibilities

• Take ownership of the visual design and direction of Wiser’s marketing websites
• Design innovative website experiences including new pages, new user interfaces, and variants of existing pages to optimize experience for marketing goals while maintaining web best practices.
• Execute the full design process including discovery, brainstorming, conception, iteration and collaborating with the marketing and product design team on projects.
• Conduct design research to keep a pulse on the market and push Wiser’s brand to be a design leader.

Collaboration Responsibilities

• Work hand-in-hand with marketing and brand team members to foster innovation, ensure feasibility and convey our values.
• Present, share and sell your thinking and rationale in internal meetings and presentations both with the marketing team and other departments.
• Collaborate with web development and senior manager, web strategy and design to ensure your designs are translated as intended onto websites.

Brand Responsibilities

• Collaborate with your fellow designers and brand team to participate in defining Wiser brand standards.
• Bring excellence to our design craft and brand.
• Maintain and evolve Wiser’s brand guideline in collaboration with product design.

Qualifications

• Online portfolio showcasing web design work.
• BA or BS in design or comparable experience
• Fluent in English language with speaking and writing
• 3-5 years of front-end web design experience.
• Proven extraordinary visual design skills.
• Strong typography, color, and understanding of branding.
• Strong skills to create on-brand innovative and intuitive web layouts and optimize for both mobile and desktop
• Experience proactively driving your own projects and make them move forward with active communication and commitment to respect deadlines.
• Detail oriented and understand what it takes to create innovative creative work and communicate your vision to other team members
• Strong communication skills to communicate vision and collaborate with team members.
• Proficient with Figma. Will consider applicants who have experience in other design software such as Sketch.
• Proficient in Adobe suite. (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, etc.)

BONUS EXPERIENCE:

• Experience maintaining a brand guideline and collaborating with others on said guideline.
• Experience designing digital marketing materials (banners, advertisements, white papers, etc.)
• Interest in testing designs to optimize marketing set goals on new and existing pages.
• Interest in and experience with analyzing user behavior and demographics to evaluate results and make data-driven design recommendations to the marketing team.
• Experience with accessibility design
• Experience with designing illustrations.
• Experience with design systems.
