Overview

As the Vice President, Data Strategy & Measurement Science, you will own the development and implementation of data-driven solutions for our business and clients. You will report to the SVP & Managing Director of Loblaw Media and will work closely with Loblaw Digital, Enterprise Technology & Analytics and other members of the executive team to develop the Data Strategy & Measurement Science function for Loblaw Media. You will have ownership of the end-to-end vision, strategy, and execution of our data strategy for our Retail Media, Marketing, Agency, Data and Loyalty product portfolios.

What you will do:

  • Develop, lead, deliver and be responsible for the Data & Measurement Science strategy from a business and value-creation perspective via thought leadership, collaboration, influence, and enablement

  • Build, mentor and coach an extraordinary group Data & Measurement professionals

  • Lead with strong business sense to translate big data capabilities and next generation information management solutions into business outcomes that align back to divisional strategies and support real-time decision making

  • Partner with business leaders, understand strategy/processes, seek out innovation to drive solutions for internal users and external customers

  • Define the measurement and data activation strategy for digital experiences and campaigns

  • Work directly with senior clients to understand their objectives and translate them into meaningful data strategies

  • Communicate complex analytics concepts and insights to clients in a clear and concise manner, and provide recommendations for action

  • Find opportunities for automation and efficiency gains across digital marketing campaigns and experiences

  • Creatively solve problems, improve processes, and design methodically

What you have:

  • Passion for leading, building and managing a diverse and dedicated team of data focused talent

  • 15 + years within the marketing industry measuring digital campaigns with a consistent record of delivering measurable results

  • 10+ years in the measurement or data industry including leading and developing teams

  • 8+ years in data and analytics in a large cross functional organization

  • Strong knowledge of analytics, loyalty, media strategy, in addition to a strong customer focus & orientation

  • Expertise in digital analytics tools and the ability to turn data into insights

  • Leader with business insight to translate big data capabilities and next generation information management solutions into business outcomes that align back to strategies and support real-time decision making

  • Ability to collaborate with other leaders, understand business strategy, processes, and looks for innovative solutions to drive business solutions

  • Experience in defining roles and responsibilities, mentoring, and leading a team with varied strengths in a highly matrixed organization with ability to influence

  • Success at balancing speed needed in a start-up with the collaboration required in large Fortune 500 firms

  • Work locations include HQ in Brampton and our Toronto office at Lakeshore & Bathurst
