Job Warehouse Worker Manager in Mississauga

As the Manager, Cross Dock & Warehouse Operations you are responsible for the overall safety, productivity, and efficiency of warehouse operations which includes less-than-truckload (LTL) consolidations and warehousing. The Manager will achieve results through their team of Warehouse and LTL team members by providing hands on leadership support and direction. They will be responsible for a variety of KPIs including Operator Utilization, Level of Service (LOS) monitoring, compliance, inventory accuracy and month end invoicing. The successful candidate will thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and have demonstrated leadership capabilities.
Key responsibilities include:
  • Leading, supporting and facilitating the activities of dock leads, administration and other operations staff to meet key performance indicators and overall objectives.
  • Regularly evaluating inbound and outbound freight including volumes and weights.
  • Understanding the customers’ needs and working with the Warehouse and support staff to ensure targets are met.
  • Consulting on escalated customer issues to bring them to resolution and regularly reviewing problems that arise.
  • Reviewing inventory and operator activity including dock door management, dock audits, capacity availability, etc.
  • Providing weekly review of KPIs with Network Manager and Dock leadership.
  • Understanding the costing and profitability of each customer to ensure LOS goals are met.
  • Other administration such as PO creation, staff scheduling, month end billing and budgeting.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Our Ideal Candidate will possess:
  • 5 years Warehouse/Dock leadership experience,
  • Minimum 2 years LTL experience,
