Job Welder in Winnipeg
Job Summary:
Performs a wide variety of Mig Production welding, and fabrication.
Key Responsibilities and Duties:
- Read and interpret blueprints or welding process specifications
- Operate robotic welding equipment to fuse metal segments using processes such as (MIG). Training provided
- Make adjustments welding heads and tooling according to work specifications
- Works with welding equipment and tools
- Follow inspection procedures
- Adhere to company safety policies and procedures
- May perform other duties as supervisor deems necessary
Qualifications:
- Several months of on-the-job training are provided
- Experience as a machine operator helper is an asset
- Experience with robotics is an asset
- Ability to interpret and understand engineering drawings (blueprints) and manufacturing processes
- Ability to set up welding equipment on your own
- Capable of using measuring instruments, gauges, etc. to check components
- Able to work under minimal supervision
Working Conditions:
- 40 hour work week (Sunday to Friday, eight (8) hours per day)
- Fast-paced manufacturing environment
- Extremely hot materials
- Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is required
- Physically demanding
- Frequent standing, bending, walking, and stretching
- Lifting of light and heavy materials
- Noisy working area
- Temperature are variable (Hot in summer, cold in winter)
